(وَاتّبَعُواْ مَا تَتْلُواْ الشّيَاطِينُ عَلَىَ مُلْكِ سُلَيْمَانَ وَمَا كَفَرَ سُلَيْمَانُ وَلَكِنّ الشّيْاطِينَ كَفَرُواْ يُعَلّمُونَ النّاسَ السّحْرَ وَمَآ أُنْزِلَ عَلَى الْمَلَكَيْنِ بِبَابِلَ هَارُوتَ وَمَارُوتَ وَمَا يُعَلّمَانِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ حَتّىَ يَقُولاَ إِنّمَا نَحْنُ فِتْنَةٌ فَلاَ تَكْفُرْ فَيَتَعَلّمُونَ مِنْهُمَا مَا يُفَرّقُونَ بِهِ بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَزَوْجِهِ وَمَا هُم بِضَآرّينَ بِهِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلاّ بِإِذْنِ اللّهِ وَيَتَعَلّمُونَ مَا يَضُرّهُمْ وَلاَ يَنفَعُهُمْ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمُواْ لَمَنِ اشْتَرَاهُ مَا لَهُ فِي الاَخِرَةِ مِنْ خَلاَقٍ وَلَبِئْسَ مَا شَرَوْاْ بِهِ أَنْفُسَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُواْ يَعْلَمُونَ) البقرة 102

) They followed what the evil ones gave out (falsely) against the power of Sulaiman: the blasphemers were, not Sulaiman, but the evil ones, teaching men magic, and such things as came down at Babylon to the angels Harut and Marut. But neither of these taught anyone (such things) without saying: “We are only for trial; so do not blaspheme.” They learned from them the means to sow discord between man and wife. But they could not thus harm anyone except by Allah’s permission. And they learned what harmed them, not what profited them. And they knew that the buyers of (magic) would have no share in the happiness of the Hereafter. And vile was the price for which they did sell their souls, if they but knew! (

) Wa Attaba`ū Mā Tatlū Ash–Shayāţīnu `Alá Mulki Sulaymāna Wa Mā Kafara Sulaymānu Wa Lakinna Ash–Shayāţīna Kafarū Yu`allimūna An–Nāsa As-Siĥra Wa Mā ‘Unzila `Alá Al-Malakayni Bibābila Hārūta Wa Mārūta Wa Mā Yu`allimāni Min ‘Aĥadin Ĥattá Yaqūlā ‘Innamā Naĥnu Fitnatun Falā Takfur Fayata`allamūna Minhumā Mā Yufarriqūna Bihi Bayna Al-Mar’i Wa Zawjihi Wa Mā Hum Biđārrīna Bihi Min ‘Aĥadin ‘Illā Bi’idhni Allāhi Wa Yata`allamūna Mā Yađurruhum Wa Lā Yanfa`uhum Wa Laqad `Alimū Lamani Ashtarāhu Mā Lahu Fī Al-‘Ākhirati Min Khalāqin Wa Labi’sa Mā Sharaw Bihi ‘Anfusahum Law Kānū Ya`lamūna(

(وَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىَ مُوسَىَ أَنْ أَلْقِ عَصَاكَ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَلْقَفُ مَا يَأْفِكُونَ * فَوَقَعَ الْحَقّ وَبَطَلَ مَا كَانُواْ يَعْمَلُونَ * فَغُلِبُواْ هُنَالِكَ وَانقَلَبُواْ صَاغِرِينَ * وَأُلْقِيَ السّحَرَةُ سَاجِدِينَ * قَالُوَاْ آمَنّا بِرَبّ الْعَالَمِينَ * رَبّ مُوسَىَ وَهَارُونَ ) الأعراف:117 –122

[117] We put it into Musa’s mind by inspiration: “Throw (now) thy rod”: and behold! it swallows up straightway all the falsehoods which they fake! [118] Thus truth was confirmed. And all that they did was made of no effect. [119] So the (great ones) were vanquished there and then, and were made to look small. [120] But the sorcerers fell down prostrate in adoration. [121] Saying: “We believe in the Lord of the Worlds,. [122] “The Lord of Musa and Harun

) Wa ‘Awĥaynā ‘Ilá Mūsá ‘An ‘Alqi `Aşāka Fa’idhā Hiya Talqafu Mā Ya’fikūna Fawaqa`a Al-Ĥaqqu Wa Baţala Mā Kānū Ya`malūna Faghulibū Hunālika Wa Anqalabū Şāghirīna Wa ‘Ulqiya As-Saĥaratu Sājidīna Qālū ‘Āmannā Birabbi Al-`Ālamīna Rabbi Mūsá Wa Hārūna (

( وَقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ ائْتُونِي بِكُلّ سَاحِرٍ عَلِيمٍ * فَلَمّا جَآءَ السّحَرَةُ قَالَ لَهُمْ مّوسَىَ أَلْقُواْ مَآ أَنتُمْ مّلْقُونَ * فَلَمّآ أَلْقُواْ قَالَ مُوسَىَ مَا جِئْتُمْ بِهِ السّحْرُ إِنّ اللّهَ سَيُبْطِلُهُ إِنّ اللّهَ لاَ يُصْلِحُ عَمَلَ الْمُفْسِدِينَ * وَيُحِقّ اللّهُ الْحَقّ بِكَلِمَاتِهِ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُجْرِمُونَ ) [يونس:79-81]

[79] Said Fir’aun: “Bring me every sorcerer well-versed.” [80] When the sorcerers came, Musa said to them: “Throw ye what ye (wish) to throw!” [81] When they had had their throw, Musa said: “What ye have brought is sorcery: Allah will surely make it of no effect: for Allah prospereth not the work of those who make mischief. [82] “And Allah by His Words doth prove and establish His Truth, however much the Sinners may hate it!”

) Wa Qāla Fir`awnu A‘tūnī Bikulli Sāĥirin `Alīmin Falammā Jā‘a As-Saĥaratu Qāla Lahum Mūsá ‘Alqū Mā ‘Antum Mulqūna Falammā ‘Alqaw Qāla Mūsá Mā Ji’tum Bihi As-Siĥru ‘Inna Allāha Sayubţiluhu ‘Inna Allāha Lā Yuşliĥu `Amala Al-Mufsidīna Wa Yuĥiqqu Allāhu Al-Ĥaqqa Bikalimātihi Wa Law Kariha Al-Mujrimūna(

(قَالُواْ يَمُوسَىَ إِمّآ أَن تُلْقِي وَإِمّآ أَن نّكُونَ أَوّلَ مَنْ أَلْقَىَ * قَالَ بَلْ أَلْقُواْ فَإِذَا حِبَالُهُمْ وَعِصِيّهُمْ يُخَيّلُ إِلَيْهِ مِن سِحْرِهِمْ أَنّهَا تَسْعَىَ * فَأَوْجَسَ فِي نَفْسِهِ خِيفَةً مّوسَىَ* قُلْنَا لاَ تَخَفْ إِنّكَ أَنتَ الأعْلَىَ * وَأَلْقِ مَا فِي يَمِينِكَ تَلْقَفْ مَا صَنَعُوَاْ إِنّمَا صَنَعُواْ كَيْدُ سَاحِرٍ وَلاَ يُفْلِحُ السّاحِرُ حَيْثُ أَتَىَ * فَأُلْقِيَ السَّحَرَةُ سُجَّداً قَالُوا آمَنَّا بِرَبِّ هَارُونَ وَمُوسَى) [طه:65-70]

[65] They said “O Musa! whether wilt thou that thou throw (first) or that we be the first to throw?” [66] He said, “Nay, throw ye first!” then behold their ropes and their rods – so it seemed to him on account of their magic, began to be in lively motion! [67] So Musa conceived in his mind a (sort of) fear. [68] We said, “Fear not! for thou hast indeed the upper hand: [69] “Throw that which is in thy right hand: quickly will it swallow up that which they have faked: what they have faked is but a magician’s trick: and the magician thrives not, (no matter) where he goes.”

)Qālū Yā Mūsá ‘Immā ‘An Tulqiya Wa ‘Immā ‘An Nakūna ‘Awwala Man ‘Alqá Qāla Bal ‘Alqū Fa’idhā Ĥibāluhum Wa `Işīyuhum Yukhayyalu ‘Ilayhi Min Siĥrihim ‘Annahā Tas`á Fa’awjasa Fī Nafsihi Khīfatan Mūsá Qulnā Lā Takhaf ‘Innaka ‘Anta Al-‘A`lá Wa ‘Alqi Mā Fī Yamīnika Talqaf Mā Şana`ū ‘Innamā Şana`ū Kaydu Sāĥirin Wa Lā Yufliĥu As-Sāĥiru Ĥaythu ‘Atá Fa’ulqiya As-Saĥaratu Sujjadāan Qālū ‘Āmannā Birabbi Hārūna Wa Mūsá(

سورة الإخلاص – سورة الفلق – سورة الناس
